A trip to Boise

On August 17, 2008 we took a trip to Boise for an unveiling of the Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial. We left Sunday morning and returned Monday evening. We had a blast. We checked into our hotel, the Shilo, and went to the room. The bathroom had floating turds in the toilet and Taelor was pulling garbage out of the can. Well, needless to say... we didn't stay there. We got refunded and we went to the Doubletree hotel. Britney and I have stayed there before and just like before, we weren't disappointed there. We went to the memorial on Sunday and there was alot of firemen there. There were more than 100 firefighters, several fire trucks and ladder trucks. The IFFD pipes and drums were present and played along with a military and police band. The IFFD is the only fire department P&D band in the state of Idaho. What a neat place!!!

We'll have to get the name of the hotel...and never stay there. Sounds like a fun time. I am so glad that you finally updated your blog. I check it at least once a day and I was really close to calling and finding out where you guys are and if everything was okay:)
