Can you believe that Britney hasn't updated this thing in... oh a year and a half!!!

We are well. We've added Kaecen (9/9/09) to our clan.

I'll see if we can dig a up a pic or two (since they are SO scarce of little ones) and post them. Then I'll reteach Britney how to update this thing.

November 9, '08

So quite a bit has happened since the last update... Sorry Stephanie!!!
I'm still trying to get Britney to update this blog, but she claims she "too busy" or something like that. So, I'll give it a go.

Since the last blog entry, Britney's grandma passed away, Britney travelled, Halloween and a Firemans' Ball now.

Some of the pictures and video are loaded for your viewing pleasures!

Enjoy!!!

This is Taelor as a skunk. My mother made this costume for her. We tried to get her to wear it around earlier in the month and she flatly REFUSED to put it on. On Halloween, I put her in the suit and we went to the fire station to pick up some stuff and see if the tight-wads had bought any candy for the tricker-treaters. I asked her if we could put the hat on and she put it on like a little trooper and we went in. Good boys had bought some goodies so they wouldn't suffer the tricks. She got loaded and I got what I needed. After that she had to have the costume on ALL day long. Britney was in Moscow Idaho that week and was flying in that evening. We went to pick up mom at the airport and guess what... Tater had to have that whole outfit on. We went to Shelley's to trick or treat and I took her around the neighborhood gather the goods. She was very intruiged with the costumes the kids had on when they would come to the door. Tyler has a mask of an old lady. I put it on and Taelor screamed! She doesn't like masks. The halloween isles at the stores that have masks she does not like either. If she looks down and you don't make a point of her seeing them she's fine. She LOVES halloween!!!

This video and update should satisfy your needs for tonight (Stephanie)...

A trip to Boise

On August 17, 2008 we took a trip to Boise for an unveiling of the Idaho Fallen Firefighters Memorial. We left Sunday morning and returned Monday evening. We had a blast. We checked into our hotel, the Shilo, and went to the room. The bathroom had floating turds in the toilet and Taelor was pulling garbage out of the can. Well, needless to say... we didn't stay there. We got refunded and we went to the Doubletree hotel. Britney and I have stayed there before and just like before, we weren't disappointed there. We went to the memorial on Sunday and there was alot of firemen there. There were more than 100 firefighters, several fire trucks and ladder trucks. The IFFD pipes and drums were present and played along with a military and police band. The IFFD is the only fire department P&D band in the state of Idaho. What a neat place!!!

Kloppin' Around

Taelor was helping me pack for one of my trips to California. I put my shoes into my suitcase, she pulled them out, put them on her feet and started kloppin' around the house with them on. I tried to get it on video. It is not the best because she kept coming after me. One thing for sure is that she loves shoes!!

It's about time!!!

We've been missing... and Britney is slacking in her Blogging duties. So I guess I'll update this blog for her.

Since we've updated last, Britney has been to California most recently. She was in San Bernardino for 4 days while I was off from IFFD. She was performing an audit there. She put in 62 hours in the four days she was in California. While she was gone, Mark and Tater hung out, had fun, ate ice cream, painted Taelors fingers and toes and cleaned the house. Britney will be gone to California or Ohio in the next week for an audit. Mark has a K-Day so she'll be gone for a bit longer this time than last.

Taelor is growing like a weed and never stops. Even when she's sleeping she's kicking and burrowing around. We're trying to ween her off her bottle and that battle is not being won by the Mommy & Daddy. When she doesn't get her bottle she is grumpy!!! She loves to snake my drinks away from me. I enjoy drinking Sobe Lean (I quit drinking sodapop in December of last year) and she loves to sneak hits of sobe lean. She's a funny little tyke. The only thing she says consistently is sh*t (I think she's saying "sit", but sounds like the slang for defecation) and "dad" in a high pitched soft voice.

Mark is just busy working. The ambulance calls are busy year round, the fires are picking up due to outside fires and others. I have a blast going to work. How wonderful it is to have an awesome job I can't wait to get back to work when I leave. I am truly blessed to have this job with IFFD. Britney and I have discussed how well off we are here and where we would have been if we'd have stayed in Utah. WFD was a nice place to work, SFD was a fun place to work (although trying times), but IFFD is the GREATEST JOB IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD and provides us with ample to live a great and productive life.

Our basement project is coming along well. We've had the sheetrock up for a couple weeks now. 2Brothers Drywall is a good contracter to hang your sheetrock if you're looking. They had a mudder come in that didn't make us happy. He accused us of pulling sheetrock off he'd already taped and mudded. 2Bro laid down the law to him and he found some guys to bail him out and fixed his mess ups. It looks good now. I primed the whole basement and painted the ceilings today. Carpet is scheduled for May 19. Keep your fingers crossed that we'll be on time and have this project done by the first of June!!!

Thanks for stopping by... :)

Taelor working out...

On Tuesday Feb 26 Mark was doing his pushups at home and Taelor went over and began doing pushups with him.

Britney left on Feb 28 for Pullman Washington to do an inspection on the plasma there. She was gone from Thursday to Saturday night. Mark & Tater stayed home, it was Mark's 4 days off from IFFD. They had a lot of fun spending thier 3 days together, Daddy/Daughter days. On Sunday we had a blast back together again as a family and had ice cream Sunday night.

It snowed here yesterday and most of it burned off on Sunday with the nice bright sunshine that came shining through. There was no fog on Sunday either. What a great day here in Eastern Idaho!!!
